Projects

ECYC always works on different projects in cooperation with one or more of its member organisations. The main types of projects ECYC involves into are seminars and publications.

Seminars and youth exchanges are at the core of ECYC's work since the beginning. Bringing together young people from all over Europe to learn from each other in a non-formal way, really makes a difference in those people's lives. They learn different social skills, it gives them the chance to put their own as well as other people's culture in another perspective, and it provides them with knowledge about different topics, such as human rights, leadership qualities, cultural identities, project management, etc. Not to mention they meet lots of new cool people, which gives them an international network for future opportunities.

Another important pillar of ECYC's work is to work on publications that are useful to its member organisations and other people working with youngsters on an international level. In the past ECYC released publications regarding quality assurance in youth work, putting up projects, open youth work games and icebreakers, ethnic identity perception, etc. In 2013, ECYC will release a publication that will prove the social profit of open youth work.
