The future rock stars of Denmark start at Ungdomsringen’s Musik Festival
Youth club bands from Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Sweden and Norway gathered at the beginning of the year to perform in the 30th edition of Ungdomsringen Musik Festival in Aalborg. Between 10.000 and 15.000 youngsters aged 10 to 20 attended the weekend-long festival in January.
The event has been a success over the years and has now 300 persons working for it on a voluntary basis. Ungdomsringen receives huge support from the local youth clubs, from the community and from the Police. There are even voluntary adults looking out for the welfare of all the youngsters.
The Musik Festival is alcohol free and manages to gather thousands of rising music stars. The Blue Van band, which is now recognized at international level, started at the festival. They haven’t forgotten their roots: their performance closed the festival this year.
