Number of youth clubs per member organisation:

Here's a diagram of the number of youth clubs every ECYC member organisation represents. However, it needs to be pointed out that open youth work has different meanings, practices and structures throughout Europe. The approach can be top-down or bottom-up, proffesionally or voluntarily, government funded or completely independant, with or without regional structures, lots or little funding, etc. The target group can also be different, varying from children to teens to adolescents, or all together.

The above mentioned factors, among others, give this number of youth clubs per MO a relative character. Nevertheless, it provides - be it a limited - insight in the degree open youth work is built out in the country where ECYC has a member organisation, or at least in the form of youth clubs, where young people can spend their time useful in a safe environment to experiment, learn and have a good time.
