Training on intercultural learning and working with migrant youth
The aim of the event, taking place from the 19th of October to the 26th of October, 2014 in Cluj Napoca, Romania was to train young people from ECYC member organisations and from outside the confederation in becoming facilitators in intercultural youth projects and apply these skills also in working with migrant youth in order to be able to:
- enable young people with diverse cultural backgrounds to develop and maintain a positive outlook on their future
- deliver informal and formal education to help each young people develop social skills, and competences for education and employment
- create opportunities for migrant youth to “give back” through community service
Patricipants from Turkey, Armenia, Italy, republic of Moldova, Blegium, Sweden and Romania met with the support of the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe and the support of the Cluj European Youth Capital program.
