BOJA is the competence center for Open Youth Work in Austria. The association is the service and networking agency for open youth work as well as the office of experts for quality development in the field of open youth work. Our goals are:
- Service and information
bOJA wants to know and transmit knowledge. We collect information about youth work, process this information and make it available.
- Coordination and networking
bOJA works in networks and creates opportunities for cooperation. The transfer of knowledge and resources, the use of synergies, being strong together, that is what interests us.
- Reflecting on quality, discussing quality, developing quality
bOJA makes quality visible in order to make a substantial contribution to the overall and individual quality of Open Youth Work and its services, actions and methods (this concerns strategic planning, concept development and the issue of resources - securing resources and increase them if possible) Open Youth Work is creative, innovative and competent. We create opportunities to discuss and develop quality.
- Positioning and lobbying
Positioning of Open Youth Work in Austria as an important and high quality area of youth work in a leisure context (national and international). BOJA is the spokesperson for the field of Open Youth Work - with the aim of positioning the topics, perspectives and needs of Open Youth Work and the young people who use its services in national and international (youth) political debate .
