• The Educational Center for Youth in Azerbaijan was founded in Baku by a group of students in December  2000. Active participation of young people in the civil society and finding solutions to their social problems are the main goals of the Center, as well as the development of youth, education, culture and civil society.
• Since its establishment the Center has implemented more than 700 projects in the fields of  free time activites for young people, protection of youth rights, technical support the youth and education institutions, delivering vocational courses, youth exchanges, publishing  educational resources, creating youth clubs and libraries and organizing cultural events.

The main objectives of the projects and programs of the Center in the medium term are:

• To provide youth participation in the development of civil society; 
• To support educational development and all-round enlightment of young people;
• To facilitate the integration of young people in Europe;
• To study and promote world leading experience in the enlightment field;
• To analyse and implement initiatives in the social-economical sphere;
• To assist the unemployed young people in finding an appropriate job;   
• To develop the patterns of healthy life and thought of young people.
